Am I Eligible?
To be eligible to receive Student Support Services (SSS), a student must be a citizen or national of the United States or meet residency requirements for federal student financial assistance, be accepted and enrolled at Rutgers University – Camden, be in need of academic support, and meet one or more of the following:
- Be a first-generation college student (neither parent/guardian completed a bachelor’s degree)
- Have a documented disability
- Be from a limited income home (according to federal income guidelines)
Next Step After Admittance to TRiO
Once admitted into the TRiO SSS Program, the participating student will be invited to attend a New Student Orientation or have a one-on-one session with their appointed SSS counselor.
Students are expected to be active in the program by meeting with their SSS counselor on a consistent basis (a minimum of three times each semester) and attending the provided programming services and activities.

Admission to the program is not guaranteed. Enrollment is limited; students are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
