How Do I Apply for the Program?
TRiO Student Support Services is federally funded to serve 160 participants. First year and new transfer students entering Rutgers are encouraged to apply to the program. Students returning to Rutgers may be given consideration based on individual needs.
Eligible students may complete the online application.
Students may also visit the Student Support Services office in the Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS) of Armitage Hall, Room 231. After an application is reviewed, SSS staff will arrange for an interview. Every new student selected for participation must attend the Student Support Services Orientation.
- A student must be a U.S. citizen, a national, or otherwise a legal recipient of federal financial aid.
- In addition, applicants must be first-generation college students, and/or low-income, and/or have a documented disability or an academic need for additional support. Click to view the Current-Year Low-Income Levels.
There is no cost to participate for students who qualify. The program is fully funded by the U.S. Department of Education and by Rutgers University-Camden. The Rutgers University-Camden Student Support Services Program will ensure equitable access and participation to students regardless of their gender, race, national origin, color, disability, and/or age.
